Tuition: $1,899 + HST

Master the Art of Tiny Tattoos in a Real Tattoo Shop Setting

This course is designed for aspiring tattoo artists who want to specialize in tiny, minimalistic tattoo designs—one of the most in-demand styles today. Whether you're just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills, this hands-on 3-day course delivers real-world training in a professional tattoo shop environment.

You’ll learn using modern rotary pen machines (we no longer use coil machines), guided by experienced tattoo artists in a small class setting to ensure personalized instruction. Best of all—you learn by doing.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

1. Workstation Setup & Tattoo Tools

  • How to properly set up a tattoo station for clean, efficient work
  • Understanding rotary pen machines and why they’re industry standard today
  • Choosing the right needles for fine line and tiny tattoo work
  • What supplies you need, where to buy them, and how to set up safely

2. Health Board Compliance

  • What health inspectors look for in a safe, compliant tattoo shop
  • How to avoid common red flags during inspections
  • Cleaning products and approved disinfectants (including DIY options)
  • Best practices for workstation hygiene and client safety

3. Bloodborne Pathogens & Cross-Contamination

  • Understanding bloodborne pathogens and infection risks
  • Setting up and tearing down your station with cross-contamination protocols
  • Using gloves, barriers, wraps, and proper cleaning procedures
  • Creating a routine that protects you and your clients

4. Tiny Tattoo Techniques

  • The fundamentals of tiny tattoo design and application
  • How to stencil and position small designs on the body
  • Depth control and machine technique for fine line work
  • When to stretch the skin and how to stabilize your hand
  • Practicing on synthetic skin before live work

5. Live Tattoo Practice

  • On Day 3, students will tattoo live models under instructor supervision
  • Bring your own models—or we can provide some for a small additional fee (based on availability)
  • This live experience gives you confidence and a portfolio starter
